Your Project

The ingenious+ program encourages youth in Canada to reimagine how they can put innovation to work to solve real world problems and innovate for good.

Our definition of innovation is one of making something better; improving upon or innovating a product, service, or process, or creating something new that solves a problem or makes the world a better place.

The Project should be beyond the idea concept and have demonstrated that you’ve put the solution into action.
Projects can be entrepreneurial, commercial, social or community innovations.
Any topic within the following themes is acceptable. (Must select 1 and can choose up to 2)

Description of the Competition Phases for Year Four of Ingenious+

Phase I – Regional Awards

There are up to 200 $1,000 Regional Awards available this year, 50 in BC/YK/NT,40 in AB/SK/MB, 70 in ON, 20 in QC and 20 in NB/NL/PE/NS/NU. Entrants from other locations will be assigned to one of these five regions and their submission judged fairly and transparently alongside Submissions from that region

Regional awards each consist of:

$1,000; and
the opportunity to attend 4-5 virtual group learning and mentorship sessions (approx. value $100 each).

Phase II - National Awards

There are 5 national awards available, one for each theme. National awards will be awarded to the top submission from the regional winners for each theme, as determined by the national judges. National awards shall only be available to successful recipients of a regional award, unless otherwise determined by the Rideau Hall Foundation in its sole discretion.

Entrants who wish to be considered for a national award must indicate their choice on their entry form.

National awards each consist of:

$10,000; and
the opportunity to attend 3 virtual group learning and mentorship sessions (approx. value $250 each).
